Meet Our Outstanding Team
Bob Spiegel, Owner/President/CEO, brings 33 years of leadership to the company. He is a 1976 Graduate of The United States Military Academy at West Point with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering. He was employed by the company in 1981 and quickly became President and Owner in 1989 growing the Company from primarily a residential site-work contractor to a progressive and competitive commercial site-work contractor. Having established numerous quarries and a large fleet of aggregate haul trucks in years past, he carries an extensive knowledge of all that the Construction Industry demands. He is an experienced leader in all aspects of the company’s operations and success.
Connie Spiegel, Owner, has served on the Board of Directors for over 20 years. She brings a vast knowledge of people, psychology, business skills, and other valuable characteristics to the Company. Her discernment and intuition play a vital roll in the decision making process at the upper management level. She is a 1980 graduate from Mary Hardin Baylor University with a Bachelor of Science Degree and a 2013 graduate of IPEC, Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching, specializing in both Corporate and Relationship Coaching.
Jim Robinson, Project Manager/Estimator, provides high quality project management on many of our jobs while also providing the Estimating Team with accurate quantity take-offs. Because of his background and experience he is also highly skilled at superintending excavation projects. He is a graduate of Tarleton State University with a Bachelor of Science
Ed Tyroch, Controller, working with great dedication and accuracy and his primary responsibility is for the Company’s financial reporting. He is also the administrator and maintainer of the company’s accounting software packages, Timberline and HCSS. In addition to his duties as the company’s Controller, he also diligently serves as the administrator of SFC’s computer network and wireless communication throughout the entire organization.
Richard Ring, Senior Project Manager/Estimator, project manages many of the company’s larger government and commercial projects. He has a vast experience of over 30 years in all aspects of sitework/excavation construction. Richard is an experienced manager at all levels and is skilled as an Estimator, Superintendent and in the past as a Blade Operator.
Our knowledgeable and experienced staff has a combined 150 years of experience in site work construction within our office and estimating staff. We are proud to have graduates from the United States Military Academy, Tarleton State University, A&M University, University of Mary Hardin Baylor and Texas State Technical College. We are fortunate to have a group of highly accomplished and experienced Supervisors. In addition, we employ some of the very best Equipment Operators in our area.
